This year is the 80th anniversary of the duck stamp. See this Ducks Unlimited article: ahttp://www.ducks.org/conservation/public-policy/the-federal-duck-stamp-turns-80?poe=JA14
The stamps has benefited millions of acres of land in the U.S. It equals the size of Vermont!
The current question is should the price of the stamp be increased? It has not been increased since 1991.
If you are interested in more information, try Dr. John Juriga’s biography about duck stamp contest creator Bob Hines. He is the man who singlehandly brought the term “conservation” to American consciousness.
Speaking of 1991, this is also the anniversary of the Walkman.
I loved all of my Walkmans. I dropped many and had to replace them at least once per year! Remember batteries?
